The idea that we were going to sell freshly made foods and homemade items was the vision that we started our food truck adventure with.
Eliminating processed foods and eating fresh seasonal items was prompted by a desire to eat Better. in our home.
After a number of health issues affected our family, a more proactive approach to healthy eating was necessary. We wanted to feel Better. Look Better. so, the first step was to eat Better. Guess what?!? It worked!!!
Caity says that Better. is home. The food she grew up eating.
Armed with an amazingly extensive knowledge of flavor and an abundance of talent for creating all types of food we challenged ourselves to find alternatives for all the processed food available to us.
There was no menu until about 48 hours before we opened. That was the first chance we had to shop for our truck and the first menu was born. Armed with a TON of food and a beautiful chef kitchen that we had built from the ground up Chef Justin started creating the Better. Menu.
Family dinners are a routine in our home and even through all the construction and prep for Better. our first family dinner in the truck was the birth of the deep-fried Brussel sprouts. Our “sprouts” were an accident of sorts. We were tired, and needed something delicious, quick and different. It also happens to be the day we turned on the fryer for the first time.
In an act of “let’s see what this will do…” sprouts were dropped into the deep fryer. A little sauce to enhance the flavor and the deep-fried Brussels sprout is born.

When in Chincoteague, I always stop at Better and order my favorite menu item: Shrimp & Grits. They have a variety of choices on their menu. The food is fresh and large portions.
Best food on the island for sure! Everything I’ve had has been amazing but my absolute favorite is the caprese salad! Chef Justin is able to cater to all diet restrictions and taste!
Absolutely amazing fresh food. The chowder was full of clams and it was to die for ?. The turkey sandwich, which was fabulous?, came with a delicious salad. The staff was super friendly. 11/10 in my books. Can’t wait to come back to try the Shrimp N Grits for dinner ?.
Excellent food. I stopped by twice this weekend and it's now a go to place for me. Great pork schnitzel and some of the best brussel sprouts.
Had The Caprese Sandwich! Very good. Amazing bread. Fast service. All around excellence! Couldn’t have asked for a BETTER experience!!!
Fresh ingredients, clean atmosphere, and delicious food! Complemented by kind and courteous staff. Can't really ask for more!
Stopped for the Build Your Own Cookie food truck, but checked out the menu at Better first and we are glad we did! Justin's favorite clam chowder was delicious, of course I had to confirm it was Justin's favorite before ordering ?. The Brussel spouts were to DIE FOR! WARNING: they feed 2-4 people in my opinion. My husband got the Better burger and loved every bite. The potato rocket was like a yummy crispy kettle chip on a stick with a delicious dipping sauce. Mmmmmm they need to change their name from Better to Best!
just got a tenderloin sandwich and wow it was goooood,
First visit and so pleased. WE will be back many times. Delicious.
Been several times. Never disappointed. Glad to see them opening up for another season.

Health experts and chefs both often say you should eat "seasonally," or include foods in your diet that are grown at the same time of the year you eat them.
